Interior design
From a first site visit to the day the last piece is placed, Lena leads every project from concept through completion. We listen to how you live in a space — and design something that holds up.
This isn’t a mood board service. We come to your property, walk every room, and ask the questions most people skip: what bothers you about it, what you’d miss if it were gone, what the space is actually supposed to do for the people who use it.
From there, we build a design that fits your site, your season, and your life in it. Material selections that work in a Muskoka environment. Furniture scaled to the room, not the catalogue. A final result that doesn’t look like it was designed last year.
Lena works directly with every client, alongside lead designer Jessica. No account managers, no junior team fielding your calls.
Every finish, fabric, and surface chosen to work as a system — and to hold up in a Muskoka environment.
We source from our showroom, our vendor network, and custom fabricators — then manage orders, track delivery, and coordinate installation.
The final layer. Fewer pieces that mean something, placed with intention.
Decorating
Not every project starts from scratch. Sometimes a space just needs the right things in the right places — and someone who knows the difference between a room that looks finished and one that actually feels like home.
We come in, assess what’s working and what isn’t, and make a clear plan. Sometimes that means new furniture. Sometimes it means moving what you already have and adding three things. We don’t upsell rooms that don’t need it.
Our showroom gives us access to furniture, fabrics, window coverings, and accessories that aren’t available through typical retail — and our relationships with vendors mean we can source to order when the right piece doesn’t exist off the shelf.
Pieces that fit the scale of your room, suit how you actually use the space, and hold up over years of real use.
Rugs, art, throws, objects — the things that make a room feel like someone lives there. We edit as much as we add.
Light control, privacy, and proportion. We specify and install custom drapery and blinds that work with the room, not against it.
Architecture & Interiors
Some projects begin with a floor plan. Some begin with a cleared lot on Lake Joseph and a family who knows they want something that will be there in a hundred years.
For those projects — new builds, significant additions, boathouses that are really second homes in disguise — HillTop offers access to a coordinated architectural practice that understands Muskoka the same way we do, with a shared instinct for traditional craft, natural materials, and buildings that belong to their site.
Interior design and architecture, coordinated from the start. Aligned material palettes, fewer handoff problems, and a designer who was in the room when the windows were being sized.
Tell us about your space. We’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit.
No commitment. No pressure.
